Day 1
On Friday the TeeFury team assembled, carpooled and descended on WonderCon 2016! Meeting early we gathered our badges and prepped for our Artist Panel, celebrating the unique relationship we have with our artists.
The Panel – at 1pm Fans came out to watch our seven incredible panelists, Joebot, Artist Abe, Tom Hodges, Danny Haas, Captain Ribman, Pacalin, & JangoSnow discuss pop fandom as artistic inspiration, moderated by our Art Director Tom Kurzanski. As the panel progressed, we heard some great tips, tricks and sage advice for artists who are looking to break into the field, as well as some entertaining stories about the artists themselves. The TeeFurians in attendance walked away with smiles on their faces and a TeeFury enamel pin stuck on their jackets, hoodies, bags and hand-crafted cosplay.
Artist Alley – This area of the convention was stacked with awesome pop culture art and super friendly artists. We met many of our regular artists and caught up with their latest projects (expect some awesome art soon) and we also met some inspiring new artists too.
The Fans – Fury fans were out in full force, with TeeFury shirts around every corner. Our intrepid team spotted several of you (and were spotted themselves), giving away goodies to our new friends who sported their favorite pop culture inspired apparel.
Cosplay Highlights – The cosplay did not disappoint, as we pulled into the parking lot we spied several Deadpools, Batman and Robin, Mario and The Joker. As the day rolled on, many more amazing cosplayers turned up. Some favorites were Lydia from Beetlejuice, a very convincing Dark Knight Joker, an uncanny Jon Snow and the cutest BB-8 you’ll ever see!

Day 2
Day two saw our art and marketing teams braving L.A. traffic to descend upon the Los Angeles Convention Center again and take in what had to be one of the busiest days in WonderCon history. We chatted with some more fantastic new artists whose work will be showing up on TeeFury in the near future (keep an eye out!) and connected with our veteran artists.
The Cosplay was outstanding, and wading through the South Hall to get to the convention floor was an epic event with an eyefull of passionate fandom fully realized as new cosplayers mingled with amazing pros while press and fans snapped pics of their favorites. Followers of TeeFury SnapChat got a great story that captured the controlled chaos.
Day 3
The Easter Bunnies arrive at WonderCon!
Many Cosplayers added ears and fluffy tails to their favorite characters to add some festive fun to their dressed up designs. Some notables included an impressive Wolverine lookalike armed with carrot claws and several Easter bunnies of the more frightening and Caerbannog variety.
Others included creative group cosplays of the Haunted Mansion portraits and steampunk styled princesses.
Fans wearing TeeFury tees continued to be spotted amongst the crowd and were rewarded with pins and other loot. Artist Alley was abuzz with folks snatching up last minute favorites they were eyeing over the weekend. The general consensus with many artists was a good turnout from the L.A. crowd this year. The event moves back to Anaheim next year, where TeeFury will be sure to keep an eye on more happenings for the local event.
