This past weekend, TeeFury celebrated Free Comic Book Day! This annual celebration started in 2002 and always occurs on the first Saturday in May, with the aim of getting new readers into local, independent comic book stores. This year we headed to The Comic Bug in Culver City, CA. Not only did we have special prices on many of our products, but we also got a chance to hang out with TeeFury customers, inventive cosplayers and, most importantly, our fellow geeks who we love getting to meet face-to-face.
Even the youngest comic book fans found TeeFury posters they loved!
This fan, Mystique cosplay and little Harley were highlights of our day!
The Comic Bug team were great hosts!
We brought a ton of tees to make sure that we had something for everyone!
Did we mention the food trucks were awesome? This Kogi BBQ truck was covered in stickers. Next time you grab a bite, keep an eye out for TeeBird — he’s on there for a few times!
The weather was great, the food trucks were overflowing with sweet and savory treats, Stan Lee was hanging out with a lucky few (yes, that Stan Lee), and all of you were wonderful! If we didn’t get a chance to say hi, we hope to see you next time! A special thanks goes out to Mike, from The Comic Bug, for coordinating the event and for letting us be a part of it. And a huge thank you to our customers who continue to make TeeFury the best community around!
